We had a great worship service Sunday. The music was inspiring and our children’s message overflowed with kindness. Our sermon looked at 2 Samuel 9:6-8. We encountered King David, again taking a personal and political risk. David fulfilled his promise to King Saul and brought his grandson Mephibosheth to his table and restored all his inheritance. Imagine if our spiritual and political leaders showed this kind of respect and kindness toward each other. Imagine if we recognized the place of all people at God’s table. Maybe just maybe we would get a glance of God’s Kingdom to come?
